El Museo Nacional de Daegu fue abierto el 7 de diciembre de 1994 con el objeto de conservar, estudiar y exhibir los bienes culturales de la región y de esta manera poder organizar cursos y programas educativos para la comunidad. Tiene un área de 101.904 m² y consta de 3 pisos en total, incluyendo 1 subsuelo. Dispone de distintas salas temáticas y áreas de exhibición. La sala de la prehistoria, de arte y de la cultura popular son los espacios que siempre están abiertos. También hay una sala para exhibiciones especiales, 2 almacenes de conservación de restos históricos y un auditorio que da clases y cursos relacionados con la cultura e historia locales. La biblioteca es uno de los sitios más visitados y buscados por los estudiantes por su extensas colecciones de libros y materiales históricos y culturales.

Jageumseong is in a building designed like an ancient Chinese palace, serving rare Chinese dishes in a great atmosphere.
