Es uno de los principales festivales de primavera de Busan. El término “eobang” era una denominación que se daba a los grupos pesqueros de esta zona, especialmente en aquellas épocas cuando abundaban los trabajos de la pesca. Por lo tanto, con el fin de mantener esa tradición pesquera, se ha añadido el mismo término en el nombre del festival.
