Pyeongchang Hanu Village Daegwallyeong Restaurant is a large meat market-style restaurant located one minute's drive from Hoenggye Interchange. The market handles all sorts of hanu (Korean beef) cuts from sirloin, tenderloin, striploin, brisket, and more. Customers can pick and buy their own meat and take it to the restaurant. Located within five to ten minutes' drive are popular Daegwallyeong vacation destinations such as Alpensia Resort and Yongpyong Resort.

El mayor festival anual de invierno del país, el Festival de los Copos de Nieve de Daegwallyeong, se celebra en Hoenggye-ri, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. Es un festival lleno de diversión, con concursos de esculturas de nieve, maratones, campeonatos de montañismo, trenes de la nieve, descensos de río helado, paseos en trineo de nieve y más.

The restaurant opened in 1999 with 76 seats, but after it was remodeled in 2008, the number of seats was increased to 126, among which 40 are Western style seating to accommodate the needs of international guests and elderly people.


The interior is decorated with photos taken by the restaurant owner to add to the unique atmosphere. The owner turned the traditional Korean dish of gondeurebap (steamed rice with seasoned cirsium) into something new, serving it in a dolsot (hot stone bowl). The restaurant serves more than 20 different types of side dishes to satisfy customers' various tastes.
